Faris AtaAllah leads the development of advanced IoT solutions for sustainable urban infrastructure, energy monitoring and electric-vehicle charging optimization at SureFlow.

He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Aleppo and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, where his research focused on energy-efficient motor-drive control systems for electric vehicles.

His experience spans industrial automation, PLCs, embedded systems and energy-management technologies. Since joining SureFlow in 2024, he has progressed from embedded-system design to leading the company’s monitoring ecosystem, EV-charging optimization and product innovation.

His conference talk demonstrates how smart IoT devices enable real-time energy monitoring and optimization, reduce waste and support sustainable, resilient cities.

Professor Bikash Pal is internationally recognized for research in power-system stability, control and estimation, with major academic and industry collaborations across renewable-energy integration and grid control.

Professor Pal earned his BEng from Jadavpur University, MEng in power engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and PhD from Imperial College London as a Commonwealth Scholar. His research spans power-system stability, control and estimation, and includes multinational UK–China and UK–India collaborations in renewable-energy integration and control.

His strategic industry partnerships include ABB, Siemens, GE Grid Solutions, National Grid UK and UK Power Networks. His research helped develop fast power-flow and volt-var control tools used in Siemens Spectrum Power, and he has advised international organizations including the UNFCCC Clean Development Mechanism.

He is a Fellow of IEEE, the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineers and the IET. He received the 2025 IEEE PES Prabha Kundur Power System Dynamics and Control Award and is IEEE PES President-Elect for 2026–2027.

Professor Ramesh Bansal brings more than 25 years of international experience across teaching, research, accreditation, industry collaboration and academic leadership.

He is Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sharjah and Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria. His previous appointments include the University of Queensland, University of the South Pacific and BITS Pilani.

Professor Bansal has published more than 500 journal articles, conference papers, books and book chapters. His research interests include renewable energy, wind and photovoltaic systems, distributed generation, microgrids and smart grids.

He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer of the IET, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Fellow of SAIEE and Senior Member of IEEE.
